Don’t buy these earphones if you are only listening to rap music. 64audio Nio iems are the truth. The sound space is that of over ear headphones. I have been thoroughly impressed with the build quality, the highs, mids and lows. Try the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper out on these bad boys to hear what I am talking about. The only iem that I have found to have a better sound stage is my voyager 14’s.
The only issue I have is that people that don’t have the means will not be able to enjoy these because the price point is high.

I'll be honest i have had a couple of issues where the pins came loose and didn't connect but 64 audio always pulled through. They are so good that i bought their new apex module and another shirt just because they are THAT good, if more modules come out for it ill buy even more. The only other high end IEM i own to compare recently with is the UNIQUE MELODY MEST INT. version (which i bought since my u12t's were being repaired. thought the bass is richer on the um mest, i keep coming back to the u12t's, its CLINICALLY insanely pleasurable to hear and yea i rec them. I must use them everyday I cannot lie. I don't consider myself as a guy with a lot of sound gear and just recently got into the hi end IEM hobby, I'm just glad i went with my gut and bought these babies and also from bloom audio which delivered it really quick! (free chocolate too!!!)
best headphones of any type i've owned. endgame.
Firstly bloom was fantastic to work with. I inquired initially through discord then through email and he helped answer all my questions. Shipping was fast and well packed.
The first couple things about the LCD-2 that struck me when listening to them is the combination of how smooth they are with how much power they have in the low end. Bass is well textured with a pretty strong impact while being extremely smooth and pleasant. The mid range is crisp and realistic but not perfect in the upper mids. It can be improved with some light EQ around the 3-4k area. I personally added a few dB sub 100hz and at 3-4k. This cleans up the mid range helping with female vocals and makes the most of the lows. The highs are great with just enough air. I personally am sensitive to bright headphones and these lie in the perfect spot that I can listen for hours while still sounding great. The soundstage is very good but not as wide as an HD800 or similar. The imaging is great although certain directions aren't perfect. Its more than good enough for gaming though, it feels like cheating in R6 Siege. Separation is great as well. I have never before actually heard the distance between instruments and been able to focus on individual sounds so distinctly. They have held up well for almost a year as my daily drivers. I had a very minor issue with the leather headband but Audeze support handled it perfectly. I would highly recommend the LCD-2 as long as you like a fairly warm sound signature. These are by far the best sounding headphones I have heard and impress me each time I listen to them.
Just got it for my newly arrived bha100 amplifier (also made by audio technica). The headphones itself is with a very healthy middle band and a naturally extended high frequency response, adding a suitable bass. The sound stage is also impressing, thanks to its open-back structure. Under my bha100 The sound is a little bit warmer, making it even better atmosphere for pop musics.
This was my first Audio Technica headphone and I had never seen it before but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did because it's become one of my favorite headphones I've had.
They have a very detailed sound with great clarity but they can sound a touch bright at times but I haven't experienced any harshness from it. The bass is very clean with good definition and a nice bit of punch as well. Mids come through more than you'd think with a somewhat V-shaped headphone and they are very clear. The highs have a lot of sparkle but to me never sound harsh or overbearing. Soundstage and imaging are both quite good for a closed-back headphone with a nice 3D presentation.
I really enjoy this headphone a lot and anyone that likes a very detailed clear headphone will like the AP2000ti.

Just the looks alone justify a purchase in my opinion. Images don't do them justice. You really have to see them in person.
Regarding the sound... I will keep it simple. They have a very prominent mid bass punch that is quick and which is more than the B&W P9, Denon 9200 and Ultrasone edition 15 but from memory not as much as the Campfire Cascades. Sub-bass is slightly elevated but not like the 9200. Mids are slightly recessed and highs are a little elevated in the upper registers but not detailed as the 9200, P9 or Edition 15. So i get the feeling that this a warmer tilted signature. Pardon the pun but this punches above its price. The mid bass, portability and looks are the defining characteristics for me.
