I use this USB c cable to hook up the Ifi Hip Dac IIi to my Samsung ZFlip 5. I play tidal plus other collections via USB Pro Player. Had 4 other cords prior to getting fed up and ordering this one. Fed up because all of my prior cables, one high speed generic one fat one brand name I can't recall and two Ifi (supplied and one add on purchaase) all ended up with the same flaw - poor connectivity at the Zflip USB insert. I was going to replace the phone but gave this a shot as I believed the gold plating would make the insert point of the wire more snug so I wouldn't lose connection if I just looked at the wrong way or simply breathed. Huuuge improvement in fit. I've had this cable for what, 3 months, not a single disconnect and even a couple of saved drops where the phone hung on by the wire after I dropped it and the dac about 4 feet. Different paradigm that made me a believer just with that, but to my surprise there was more. I'm in the don't buy the hype on wire sound quality camp. There is a lot of snake oil bs in this market so I didn't even look really listen for it. It just happened. I noticed it almost right away, adjusted volume thinking it was that. It was that but not because my volume was off there was simply more sound. Listening more I heard more NEW sound as in detail I didnt recall hearing before...fascinated but still I went with the expectation bias mind trick as the reason. Except I wasnt expecting anything I wasnt listening for anything I just wanted the darn thing to stay connected. Period. So at this point I believe it's not a mind trick anymore I think there may be something to sound quality differentiation by wire type or construct quality. Which really bucks I don't need to spend more money on this addiction of chasing the nth degree of best sound....so be warned! But yeah, definitely a buy i will now get another for me laptop to my r2r desktop dac to see if the improvement in SQ translates
Very nice cable! Excellent quality!
I was looking for a high-quality medium-length USB C OTG cable to connect my phone to a Dethonray Honey I scored on eBay. In my research, I found the ddHiFi which seemed like a good option. I didn't want to buy it from AliExpress and was super happy to see that Bloom Audio carried it. I've been using it for several weeks now and have been happy with the uncolored (as expected) signal transmission, length which allows me to easily put my phone and Dethonray Honey side by side, and the quality on the cable itself. The connectors are especially noteworthy. They connect very firmly with a distinct click, and the shape of the barrel makes them very easy to remove even though they connect very firmly. I'm super happy with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cable to anyone needing to connect a DAC/Amp to their phone.
Needed a short OTG usb c to c cable to go from my iPad to my new Xduoo DM01. I have a few DDHifi products. This cable is the right length and the build quality is fantastic (like all Ddhifi products)
Not only is it USB-C to USB-C—it’s a connection from earth to heaven. Excellent craftsmanship, attractive design, and flawless performance. I used it with the Astell & Kern SP1000, SP2000, iBasso DX180, and Fiio M11 Plus, all paired with the Xduoo XD05 Plus2 DAC, and had no connection issues whatsoever. The sound quality and clarity are outstanding. This is a very well-made cable, and I’m truly satisfied with it.
