I’m somewhat of a cable denier. I feel as long as construction is done correctly most cables will sound the same.
I was tired of using a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter for my FAudio Mezzo LE IEMs and was hoping to find a cable that would tame the overly emphasized bass and mid bass this IEM has while allowing me to ditch the adapter cable.
I’m thrilled with the Cassiel and Mezzo pairing. The lower frequencies are slightly more taught with a faster decay, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I had my doubts that a “budget” cable could achieve this, but am pleasantly impressed. If your IEM needs a little thinning out, this could be your cable.
Cable allows me to utilize the balanced jacks on my player and does a great job of it. Looks better and sounds a little more crisp and open. These compliment a bass heavy IEM very well (Campfire Polaris 2 in this case). Couldn't be happier with it.
After listening for an hour or so, I detected a gradual change in the audio signal, I did a A/B swap with a similar cable with same CIEM & found these very neutral & clear. i would say that the audio signal seemed less stiff & warmer after an hour of music programming
This cable does improve the sound quality of my Shure SE846 IEMs. I like the connectors tight fit and short profile. The strain relief is also good. My only complaint would be that I would have liked to have a little stiffer hook for behind the ears.
Surely better than the cable that came with the iem. An inexpensive proposition for a simple upgrade that works as expected.
