I am not going to elaborate and pontificate on the quality of the sound. To my ears it is practically perfect - - but who is to say my ears are perfect for sound. The interface is easy enough and it fits in my hand great and has good weight/solidness. Battery life is good and I prefer the optional black leather case over the included green case (but again I wouldn’t wear green shoes but maybe if you wear green shoes you would like the included case). ;-) Coupled with the Odyssey IEM's makes for a great listening experience. It sounds mighty fine with my Meze headphones too. So I am a happy camper.
Covers the technicals and balances the frequencies perfectly. Revealing of details it presents them with elegance.
There is neither brightness nor dullness and the dynamics are excellent.
UI is smooth but Android is not free here. The UI feels more custom than full Android.
Happy
This is my first high end DAP and it’s stunning. Everything about the device and the software is perfect and the sound is incredible with Vision EXT and Kublai Khan
I had the 2000's, and they were great. The 3000's outshine them in sound and ease of use. I store an enormous amount of downloaded music and once transfered to the new unit, the unit handles the music effortly. And the sound, oh the sound, is absolutely fantastic. It's so good it makes me want to hear my music to hear what it really sounds like.
Two things that our minor only in the sound being so good. 1. The unit has less storage space than the 2000's. The 3000's have a t plus 256 gb. Total available and that is 256 gb less than the 2000's. And be sure you format the micro card to Fat32, even if you think it's already been formatted. If you don't it will heartache like you have never had.
But with the bumps that i had with the t card - the unit is SO FANTASTIC, ....if you want THE BEST DAP -- best sounding to say the least. This is the one for you!
My recent Astell Kern path has taken me from the SE200, to the SP2000T and more recently the SP2000 Copper. The SP3000 exceeds my expectation. I will focus the on the notable differences to the magical SP2000. The biggest difference is the soundstage. It's not just wider, but it is truly holographic, with amazing layering that is deep, high, wide, low. The soundscape surrounds you. The second biggest difference is the texture and separation from the low end. At the lowest frequency response the instrament separation is nothing short of astonishing. Even more impressive is how this interacts with the soundstage. The lower frequency notes just envelope the soundscape, it's not just THERE but you hear and sense how the MOVES through the holographic space, like a wave. Other notable improvements are transparency and more neutral frequency response. Build quality stunning (sculpted art). I'm pairing this with 64 Audio A18s, A12t, and Legend Evo. A18s geting the most listening time.
