First off I am writing this from the view point that these are my first IEM's and I am going to keep this from being bias. (apologies if it comes across that way)
USE: My use for these are for musical performances and rehearsals, however, I have tried them in social settings such as short walks and in random commutes through noisy public areas. These offer passive noise isolation, especially with the right ear tips, not so much as to cut off the world around you, but enough to really feel like you can focus on what you need to yet still interact with your environment if needed. The Oracle MKIII's have held up in any and every activity, they consistently stay in place, leaving the wearer to never worry about it becoming loose. There is a good selection of various sized ear tips that come in the sturdy carry case, each feel like substantial quality that with some trial and error will ensure a secure and comfortable fit. I have heard of some user's claiming they prefer other ear tip brands, but it makes sense for this to be a very subjective topic; "which brand of rubber or foam plugs are the best?"; let me just say that the provided ones from THIEAUDIO are superior to any ear buds I've ever owned and work reliably. These have also been through very humid environments and have held up above my expectations. They feel like a quality build with some good weight to them, not cheap plastic and not too heavy so as to possibly come loose.
AUDIO EXPERIENCE: In regards to audio quality, I have to say that the first time I used these and ran testing with some true surround sound clips, I almost shed a tear because I honestly had no idea that audio could sound this good. Pure sound bliss! For ten years I used AT M50X over-ear headphones, these truly met all my requirements for the most part. But after a lot of thought and research I felt that upgrading and trying IEM's was a necessary step forward in my audio journey. I am impressed everyday with these and look forward to using them daily There has been no fatigue from long wears and regardless of the style of music I hear or the environmental soundscape I am immersed in; each bit of sound is presented in the most pristine quality with no loss of any frequencies, helping me feel truly present with what I am hearing. There are spectral graph's online displaying how the Oracle MKIII handles certain frequency range tests, but regardless of this; with the right audio interface or equalizer app/plugin you can adjust frequency ranges to your taste. The high's always ring with clarity, mid's are clear as can be, but the sub and bass frequencies are what impressed me the most. It is ASTOUNDING that these small IEM's have that much of a thump and impact. Between these Oracle MKIII updated or the THIEAUDIO MKII's, the Oracle MKIII model checks off all of the requirements for me, I don't really think I would be able to tell the difference between the two if I am honest, it is hard to believe that it can get better than the Oracle MKIII's audio quality, but to each their own. Personally I would feel overly self conscious about sporting IEM's that are a grand in cost.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Before buying these I was able to email the company and inquire about the product. The were prompt in replying and gave me reliable assistance. They are also friendly to military and vet's, so that was a nice surprise. I am really glad I found bloom audio, their selection of incredible quality products along with their kind service was refreshing and I would highly suggest this company to anyone. I'd also very highly suggest the "THIEAUDIO Oracle MKIII Updated 2024 Tribrid Universal IEM's", they're visually stunning and worth the investment, its hands down the best update to my studio and live rig, I can't help but wonder why I haven't gotten into IEM's sooner, but regardless of timing these came into my life when they were supposed to and I am here for it, thank goodness.
I am enjoying the Oracle MKIII, it is very resolving, fantastic bass, but the treble (and I have to figure out how to EQ the treble) is a bit shouty and I am surprised to find myself reaching for the Hype 4 more often than not.
The sound from the Oracle Mk III is very good: good bass, good mids and good highs. Nothing gets washed out or lost. The cable is of high quality with multiple jacks for different preferences and holds its over-ear curve. The body has a nice appealing finish but unfortunately doesn’t fit my ear with any of the tips provided, though they only provide 3 pair of foam and 3 pair of silicone (?). The silicone felt especially hard in my ears to the point of pain whereas the foam were okay.
If not for the fit, these would have gotten 5 stars
Upgraded to these from the Zero: RED. Kinda in love with them and might be my one and done's for a while! Love the clarity and immersiveness of this pair. Do not regret
This is my first IEM purchase, and I did a ton of research. I started with Moondrop Blessing 3s which are nice but not quite the sound signature I was looking for. The Oracle IIIs have deep bass that is both smooth and authoritative. The soundstage is natural as well, and everything just sounds clear. I am very happy with them and keep going back despite my other more recent purchases as well as my high end over ear headphones. Thieaudio is superb!
