Very comfortable to wear has a moderate grip to them as well good for ears that don't produce a lot of ear wax
Great fit, worthwhile purchase.
Most comfortable tips used to date. Very soft silicone with comfy non irritating fit and a nice balanced sound.
These buds turned out great, might get another pair.
Being a musician getting blown out by the drums and not hearing my instrument (specifically bass guitar) and vocals, I thought I'd give IEM's a try. I've struggled with sound and fitment from the get go. I had a relatively inexpensive pair ($50) so I upgraded to a $200 pair of Mackies (MP-240), thinking that might help, which shipped with a big variety of ear tips (sizes and materials (both silicon and foam)). Yet only if I hold them, with great pressure into my ears would, I get a good seal where I could clearly hear my bass guitar in the mix. I was convinced my IEM's (along with my transmitter and EQ) were good enough, I just needed a better ear tip.
The W1's were going to be my last attempt at a relatively inexpensive solution (vs custom ear molds). The W1's look exactly like one of the sets I got from Mackie, so I didn't have much hope. I was thinking I'd need something longer to go deeper into my ear.
Yet when I put them in they created an unbelievable seal. I could tell before even plugging in an audio source the isolation from my environment. So far I've only plugged them into my phone, but the sound was incredible! I'll try them plugged into my band's mix this weekend, but based on initial impression, I expect them to perform exactly as I wished. For $10 instead of low end ear molds for $300 (between impression and having them made).
They feel a little sticky to the touch...so I wonder if that has something to do with how they seal. But for $10 a set, I wouldn't care if I had to get a new set every month. I doubt I will, but that would be a small price to pay for the comfort and ability to create a very strong, tight seal!
Thank you!
