First off, the product was shipped in a neat package with a hand written thank you note and a bar of Starbursts inside! It also included a little card showing who had packed the box. These nice little human touches really show what kind of company Bloom Audio is. For most of us, these types of purchases are little luxuries that we allow ourselves to have, so when a company goes above and beyond to make the experience extra personal, it really makes the whole experience so much more better! Thank you Bloom Audio! I will be shopping here again in the future.
Second, the Supernova’s are amazing. I’m still in the process of evaluating them, but so far they are everything that is advertised.
Quick tip for anyone who might be interested in how they might sound and that don’t have access to a store that allows you to try different headphones out:
Go to the squiglink website and use the measurements from one of the 5128 databases and AutoEQ your existing IEMs to your desired purchase IEMs. That’ll give you a general idea for what the tuning is like.
I was surprised by how close the Auto EQ got my Blessing 3’s to the Supernova’s tuning wise.
I may update this review once I have a firmer grasp on the Supernovas.
Exceptionally balanced and smooth. Great for all genres and comfortable/easy to listen to during long listening sessions.
This is my first serious IEM, and I’m very impressed. The violet version looks more understated in person than in the online photos, which I actually prefer.
In terms of sound, I’ve tried classical, jazz, and pop, and it performs well across the board. Where it really shines is with acoustic music and vocals — clean, detailed, and engaging.
I also appreciate the personal touch from Mr. “Compy,” which made the experience feel more special.
The 7th Acoustics Supernova has really won me over. It’s one of those IEMs that just clicks the moment you start listening. The bass is quick, punchy, and has real weight to it, but it’s never bloated or overpowering. It lands with impact, then gets out of the way, keeping the rest of the mix clean.
The mids are smooth and natural, with vocals and instruments sounding exactly how they should — full of life without being too forward. Treble has a nice amount of detail and air, but it’s easy on the ears, so you can listen for hours without fatigue. The whole tuning feels well thought out and cohesive, with nothing sticking out or feeling off-balance.
The soundstage is nicely open and the imaging is spot on, making everything feel spacious and well-placed. It’s got that lively, dynamic quality that makes you want to keep playing “just one more track,” yet it stays refined enough to work with just about any genre in my library.
For me, the Supernova nails that mix of energy, balance, and natural tonality. If you like fast, clean bass and a sound that’s as enjoyable as it is versatile, it’s a winner.
Purchased these to replace a broken Sony IER-M9. They met my needs for a neutral and transparent IEM. They have enough enough bass to sound punchy without overwhelming everything else. Excellent clarity.
