7th Acoustics Supernova | Balanced Armature IEMs

Without realizing it, I’ve been chasing this IEM for years. It’s tuned precisely to my ideal preferences. Thankfully this set is still in production years after its debut—a rarity in the IEM industry. I’m also so happy that Bloom has made this set much easier to purchase than it used to be (it used to be purchased to-order directly from the maker via social media contact). A beautiful looking, beautiful feeling, and beautiful sounding IEM that doesn’t cost multiple thousands of dollars to own.

I haven't owned an all ba set in ages. Bass is really important to me and I've always had a DD driver for that. But after reading a lot of reviews after Matt recommended these to me, I decided to pull the trigger and I am glad I did. While my monarch 4 still get the majority of my listening time, these are a very nice complement.

The bass is totally fine. The sound is just a very natural blend across all the frequencies, while still giving more than enough detail to create a very very satisfying sound. These are not bass head level and these are not super technical iems. These are just for a natural timbre just enjoy the music pair without sacrificing really anything across the board.

I've tried a lot of iems at canjams and at auditioning sections at multiple stores here in the Northeast, and these are up there. These do scale very well at higher volumes because they are so easy to listen to.

I’ve been searching for a set of IEMs that doesn’t just play music, but actually communicates the emotion behind it. The 7th Acoustics Supernova is that set.

The "separation" here is world-class. I’ve been listening to complex tracks like VNV Nation’s "Nova" (the orchestral version) and Sigur Rós, and the way the Supernova layers Jónsi’s falsetto above a massive, swelling orchestra is breathtaking. It never sounds congested or "shouty." It has an organic, natural timbre that makes instruments sound like they are in the room with you, it’s a "soulful" sound that, to this point, I’ve not been able to replicate.

Bought these because I heard they had an amazing neutral sound and were comfortable to wear for long periods, and those are true. They're light for their size and the sound is beautiful. I just personally suffered hissing ambient noise plugging mine into my Rodecaster Pro 2 and as a noob I cba going through the effort trying to diagnose it. I also wish the cable, as awesome as it is, was like a ft or 2 longer so I could thread it under my desk and keep it out of the way.
I'm also starting to believe I have a really small ear canal because even the smallest tips were too big for me.
