Pro-Ject is thrilled to preview the new special-edition Metallica Artist Series Turntable, designed and handmade in Europe. The Metallica team reached out to Pro-Ject and chose them as their partner for a Metallica-themed record player. Pro-Ject Audio Systems is proud to announce this unique work of art, continuing their tradition of artist collaborations.

Master of Vinyl

The deck surface has been treated with a mirror-finished metal logo contour that gives the player its distinctive look. The S-shaped tonearm is fitted with a detachable SME headshell to allow quick cartridge changes. Out of the box, the turntable comes pre-adjusted with Pro-Ject's Pick it S2 C cartridge. Tracking force and anti-skating are both adjustable and make your Metallica Limited Edition Turntable a true audiophile investment.

Heavy Glass Platter

The glass platter is a heavy, zero-resonance design. The high mass of the platter produces the tightest and most accurate playback speeds while allowing you to see the stunning turntable, all of its high-quality parts, and the incredible build quality. All of the the flaws of plastic or lightweight construction are completely avoided here.

Aluminum Sub-Platter, Pulley and Feet

The aluminum sub-platter is usually one of the most sought after upgrades, but it comes standard on the Metallica Limited Edition Turntable! The diamond cut sub-platter and pulley can be machined to much tighter tolerances. The aluminum sub-platter adds more mass to the entire platter and drive system resulting in additional damping of noise and unwanted resonance. The improved tolerances during production increase overall speed accuracy. The additional mass and ultra-precise pulley and sub-platter diameters improve short term speed stability (also called wow & flutter).

The Metallica turntable uses height adjustable heavy-duty metal feet to ensure level positioning on every surface and the feet are TPE-damped for resonance absorption.

Hardwired for Speed Stability

In typical Pro-Ject fashion, speed is precision controlled electronically and guarantees the most accurate and stable speeds. Change between speeds easily with the toggle switch, or with the supplied round belt for 78rpm, you can also listen to your shellac records.

S-Shaped Tonearm

The 8.6“ S-shaped Aluminum tonearm comes with a detachable SME-style headshell. The headshell allows you to swap out cartridges quickly and easily. The tonearm bearing and base are machined entirely from Aluminum. You won‘t find any plastic in these critical parts. The Metallica Limited Edition turntable will track your vinyl records with speed, accuracy and consistency. This is The End of the Line for audiophile turntable design.
