Pro-Ject's improved and updated Debut EVO 2 turntable offers incredible value at its price point and represents a premium choice for the listener looking for a basic vinyl table with an accessible price tag. EVO 2 presents a stylish package that replaces the super popular Debut Carbon EVO turntable and offers a number of improvements with only a slight price bump. It hangs well comparatively with turntables well above its weight that cost considerably more dough.

Premium Tonearm

The Debut EVO 2 turntable features a premium 8.6" carbon fiber armtube with a massive Aluminum bearing block (like Debut PRO). The low-friction tonearm bearing guarantees precise, stable and accurate tracking. The carbon fiber tube is both highly rigid & low in mass.

The one-piece armtube / headshell design prevents unwanted resonance and offers an ideal physical pairing with the phono cartridge. This superbly-built tonearm delivers impressive sound quality propelled by immersive sound staging with loads of detail.

Adaptive Anti-Skating Mechanism
As the skating force varies between the inner and outer grooves of a vinyl record, Pro-Ject's anti-skating mechanism adjusts accordingly.

TPE-Damped Die-Cast Platter

The 3.75 lbs die-cast Aluminum platter is precision balanced with additional machining after casting, facilitating perfect platter rotation while playing records. The Aluminum platter also adds a TPE damping ring & corresponding cutout on the underside, muting any resonance created by the metal record platter and contributing to the flywheel effect.

Advancing the design, Debut EVO 2 moves away from its predecessor's steel platter and welcomes moving coil cartridges.

Height-Adjustable Damped Feet

The Debut EVO 2 stands on three height-adjustable TPE-damped feet for easy leveling & great isolation. By using 3 feet they are able to increase stability on uneven surfaces while minimizing surface-contact.

Pick it MM EVO Phono Cartridge

The new Pick it MM EVO cartridge completes the Debut EVO 2 in all respects. It compliments the tonearm sonically & aesthetically. Teaming up with Danish cartridge specialists for development, Pro-Ject implemented split-pole pins known for achieving a flat frequency response typically only achievable with moving coil designs.

High-Quality RCA/Ground Cables

Cables are responsible for allowing as much musical information possible to the receiving device, but cannot add information back to a given signal. Pro-Ject includes their Connect it Phono E RCA cable, optimized for phono applications, and implemented with quality metals and careful construction to ensure lossless transmission.

Debut EVO 2 comes equipped with a balanced-capable RCA/ground phono output and can be run balanced with an RCA > mini XLR phono cable and balanced phono stage such as Phono Box DS3 B or Tube Box DS3 B.

Sophisticated DC/AC Generator

Pro-Ject's turntables use switch-mode power supplies for good reason: they take your unrefined house AC power and convert it to DC. That DC power is then fed to the DC/AC generator within the turntable, powering the AC motor.

The advantage is that a completely new sine wave is created by the generator, removing dirty AC power, and yielding steady power fed to the motor, enhancing speed stability.
