What's New in the EVO 2?

Pro-Ject's improved and updated Debut EVO 2 turntable offers incredible value at its price point and represents a premium choice for the listener looking for a basic vinyl table with an accessible price tag. Debut EVO 2 introduces several enhancements over the original Debut Carbon EVO, aiming to refine performance and listening experience for vinyl enthusiasts:

Tonearm Bearing and Assembly: The EVO 2 features an improved tonearm bearing block, similar to that of the Debut Pro, designed to minimize friction and enhance tracking accuracy.
Platter Upgrade: Replacing the steel platter of the original, the EVO 2 utilizes a die-cast Aluminum platter with a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) damping ring. This design reduces unwanted resonances and allows for the use of moving coil cartridges without magnetic interference.
Cartridge Enhancement: The Debut EVO 2 comes pre-installed with the new Pick It MM EVO moving magnet cartridge, co-designed with Ortofon, optimized for synergy with the tonearm.
Chassis and Connectivity: The updated chassis integrates the RCA and power connections into the plinth, offering a sleeker design and easier access compared to the previous model.

The Debut EVO 2 turntable features an 8.6” carbon fiber armtube with a sturdy aluminum bearing block (like Debut PRO), ensuring precise, stable tracking. Its one-piece armtube and headshell design minimize resonance, optimizing cartridge performance for detailed, immersive sound.

Adaptive Anti-Skating Mechanism
As the skating force varies between the inner and outer grooves of a vinyl record, Pro-Ject's anti-skating mechanism adjusts accordingly.

The Debut EVO 2 stands on three height-adjustable TPE-damped feet for easy leveling & great isolation. By using 3 feet they are able to increase stability on uneven surfaces while minimizing surface-contact.

Pick it MM EVO Phono Cartridge

The new Pick it MM EVO cartridge completes the Debut EVO 2 in all respects. It compliments the tonearm sonically & aesthetically. Teaming up with Danish cartridge specialists for development, Pro-Ject implemented split-pole pins known for achieving a flat frequency response typically only achievable with moving coil designs.

High-Quality RCA/Ground Cables

Pro-Ject includes the Connect it Phono E RCA cable, designed for optimal phono signal transmission with high-quality materials to minimize loss. The Debut EVO 2 features a balanced-capable RCA/ground phono output, compatible with RCA to mini XLR cables for use with balanced phono stages like the Phono Box DS3 B or Tube Box DS3 B.

Sophisticated DC/AC Generator

Pro-Ject turntables use switch-mode power supplies to convert AC to DC, which is then regenerated into a clean sine wave. This process eliminates power impurities (like dirty AC power), ensuring stable motor performance and improved speed accuracy.
