4-Way, 4-Unit Driver Design

Uranus features 4 completely different driver units: bone conduction, dynamic, balanced armature and piezoelectric, paired with a precise 4-way acoustic crossover. The 4-way circuit precisely distributes the full-range signal to the corresponding unit, avoiding frequency overlap interference and allowing each type of unit to fully utilize its acoustic advantages. The transitions between drivers are smooth and natural, reducing phase distortion.

The 4 drivers work together in a 4-way crossover architecture to create a rich bass, warm vocals and clear, smooth high frequencies, achieving a relaxed and natural "breathing" listening experience.

Extreme Low Frequency: 10mm bone conduction unit provides a full and spacious low-frequency foundation, increasing the sonic atmosphere and giving the low frequencies a warm thickness without being boomy or bloated.

Mid-Low Frequency: 10mm beryllium-plated dynamic driver (N52 magnet dual-cavity structure) drives air, bringing a natural and relaxed foundation texture, laying the groundwork for vocals and instruments.

Mid-High Frequency: Balanced armature unit ensures vocal density and clear vocal imaging, reproducing the breath and emotional details in singing.

Ultra-high frequencies: Piezoelectric driver extend the ultra-high frequencies that are difficult for ordinary drivers to reach, bringing out overtones and a sense of airiness, while controlling high-frequency harshness and avoiding sharpness and piercing.

Tuning Concept

The tuning of Uranus was shaped in collaboration with singer-songwriter Azuna Riko, whose listening preferences were influenced by her experience with sudden sensorineural hearing loss and sensitivity to sharp or piercing high frequencies.

Her ideal sound balances a fuller, richer bass response with a smooth, mellow overall tone, while keeping vocals clear, expressive, and engaging. With comfort and long-term listening in mind, Melody Wings’ acoustic engineers worked through multiple rounds of communication and fine-tuning with Azuna Riko to bring her vision to life in the Uranus.

Blue Cosmic Fragment Shell

The shell is made of HeyGears 3D printed environmentally friendly resin, which is skin-friendly and hypoallergenic. Each faceplate is hand-painted by an artist. Uranus' faceplate is recreated in royal blue and cyan, with light gold powder simulating the subtle starlight reflected by diamonds. White textures replicate the eternal diamond rain falling inside Uranus, making the design even more vivid.

Ergonomic Fit

The Uranus cavity has undergone multiple rounds of iterative optimization based on human ear data. Its ergonomic design rationally distributes ear support pressure, reducing single-point compression. Even after wearing for several hours, it maintains a secure and comfortable fit, reducing ear canal fatigue.

Included Cable

The included cable is silver-white, symbolizing the ceaseless diamond rain on Uranus. 4 core OCC ensure a solid and warm sound, preserving low frequencies and vocal density; the silver plated reduces signal loss and enhances overtone detail. The Litz twisted structure ensures complete sound signal transmission, reducing additional coloration and restoring the seamless and natural sound. The cable is flexible, bend-resistant and tangle-free, effectively reducing the stethoscope effect.
