A Brand New Version of Utopia Headphones
The winner of best headphones in the world several times over, Utopia has become a market leader in high-end headphones. In 2020, Focal introduced new packaging, including several accessories (two cables and a carrying case) to give our customers an improved unboxing experience. Today, we are proud to introduce the new 2022 Utopia: an evolution in acoustics, design, and aesthetics.
The Best of High-Fidelity Sound
Utopia still harbors its ‘M’-shaped dome, pure Beryllium speaker drivers for transparent and true sound reproduction. However, Focal has developed a brand-new voice coil that brings together reliability and lightness to the speaker driver.
Some customers have unfortunately encountered issues with speaker drivers in their original Utopia headphones, so Focal has worked tirelessly to resolve this. The new voice coil is made of 30% copper and 70% aluminum making the driver extremely reliable whilst maintaining excellent performance.
Pushing the limits even further, Focal improved linearity and reproduction of the treble by incorporating the ‘M’-shaped speaker driver grille (developed for Clear Mg), following the curve of the dome. With the new Utopia, you get unequalled sound performance with vastly improved reliability!
A Distinguished Design
Combining comfort and aesthetics, the design and concept behind Utopia certainly live up to these exceptional headphones. The forged carbon yokes, made from recycled carbon, are modern and sophisticated in style, whilst providing more lightness. The honeycomb grille, synonymous with Focal's open-back headphones, and the Black Chrome ring showcase subtle design details, like the Yin & Yang on the outer case and the black and red double grille on the speaker driver.

Top of the Range Accessories
The headphones continue to be delivered in leather-effect packaging along with a carrying case. One 5' mini-jack cable with 1/4” (6.35mm) adapter and a 10' cable with XLR connector are included and dressed with an attractive genuine leather tie.
