Built upon the accumulated craftsmanship of six generations of Ares, Ares 10 introduces a newly developed Gold Copper Alloy, engineered specifically for this anniversary edition. Positioned at the core of its triple-layer architecture, this material was designed to elevate what Ares has always been known for, a natural, emotionally engaging copper sound.

Sound Profile

The overall presentation can be summarised in one word: warmth. Not the overly thick or detail-obscuring type, but a rich, full-bodied warmth that gives recordings greater presence and emotional weight.

Where Ares 10 particularly shines is in the midrange, especially with male vocals, delivering a presentation that feels grounded, textured, and expressive. Voices carry a satisfying sense of body and resonance, while subtle details in phrasing and breath remain clearly articulated.

The newly developed Gold Copper Alloy plays a key role here, enhancing harmonic richness and tonal depth without sacrificing clarity. Instruments occupy their own space with convincing separation, while the presentation remains cohesive and musical rather than analytical.

For the first time in Effect Audio’s history, Ares 10 adopts a 10-wire geometry, marking a decisive step beyond the lineup’s traditional form, enhancing conductivity for improved signal transmission, greater dynamic authority, and richer musical detail.

At its core lies a newly developed Tri-Strata Copper Architecture™, a three-layer construction engineered to maximize current flow, dynamic authority, and physical scale. Building upon the tonal foundation established in Ares S II and the structural complexity pioneered in Fusion 1(2025), this architecture integrates multiple copper variants across all three layers. Each stratum serves a distinct sonic role, allowing power, control, and resolution to coexist without compromise.

Hardware, Refined by Legacy

Ares 10 introduces a new hardware design that bridges heritage and modernity. It adopts the refined proportions and engineering of Effect Audio’s Signature Series II hardware, ensuring consistency in durability, ergonomics, and long-term reliability.

In homage to its lineage, the hardware features a mirror-finish surface reminiscent of the iconic Ares II barrel, a subtle yet deliberate nod to the series that defined an era.

Completing the design is the introduction of Ice Crystal Titanium, an outstanding material that blends visual depth with structural strength. Its crystalline texture contrasts against the polished metalwork, creating a presence that is both commanding and refined, an aesthetic expression of controlled power.
