This review is a little later than I originally planned because I wanted to make sure this wasn’t one of those accessories that ends up sitting in a drawer after a week. After using it regularly, I can honestly say it’s been worth having.
There’s not a whole lot to say about a USB converter, and honestly, that’s a good thing. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The fit is snug, the build quality feels premium, and I haven’t experienced any connection issues, random disconnects, or looseness.
I’ve used it with several of my DACs and portable audio gear, and it’s made switching between devices quick and painless. It’s one of those small accessories you don’t think much about until you actually need it, and then you’re glad you bought a quality one instead of a cheap adapter.
The aluminum construction feels durable without adding unnecessary bulk, and it’s compact enough that I can leave it attached without it getting in the way.
If I had one minor complaint, it would be that I wish it came in a multipack because I keep finding myself wanting one for different setups.
Simple, well-built, reliable, and it just works. That’s exactly what I was hoping for.
This dongle feels very high quality and does a perfect job adding a traditional female usb port to my MacBook Pro with only USB-C. I prefer this dongle over the Apple brand dongle that serves the same purpose but costs twice as much
Well made.
Switched from a USB-A MacBook to USB-C. Bought an Anker adapter that didn't sound good, so in hopes I could recover the sound of the old computer, I bought the ddHiFi adapter. Well it paid off, it sounds amazing, proving that these little adapters do indeed make a difference.
Used to adapt Audioquest Carbon USB C cable to WiiM Ultra streamer USB A out to iFi USB reclocker. Much better quality than Monoprice and cheaper!!!!
