For more than three decades, vacuum-tube audio has been one of the defining strengths of Cayin. With the new ID6, they bring that experience into a modern all-in-one desktop platform that combines network streaming, high-resolution digital playback, DAC functionality, preamplifier and line outputs, and a powerful headphone amplifier in one compact chassis.
The ID6 is designed for listeners who want the flexibility of a modern streaming system without giving up the unmistakable musical character of tube amplification. Its three instantly switchable timbres, advanced Android platform, dual-mono ESS decoding, fully discrete balanced headphone stage, and broad digital connectivity make it a highly versatile centerpiece for both headphone and two-channel systems.
The ID6 combines classic 12AU7 dual-triode tubes with MOS-FET circuitry to deliver three selectable timbres. Classic Tube emphasizes warmth, smoothness, and vocal intimacy, while Modern Tube opens up the presentation with a wider soundstage, greater definition, and tight, powerful bass. For a more precise and composed presentation, Solid-State prioritizes clarity, control, and detail retrieval.
These three modes give the ID6 the flexibility to adapt its character to different headphones, recordings, and listening preferences, while a dedicated viewing window lets the glowing 12AU7 tubes become part of the experience.

At its core, the ID6 pairs a customized Android 14 platform with a Rockchip RK3576 processor, XMOS XU316 USB processing, and dual ES9082Q DACs operating in MONO mode for independent left- and right-channel decoding.
Bit-perfect USB Audio and I²S paths support playback up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and Native DSD512, while the four-channel, fully balanced, fully discrete headphone amplifier offers selectable Class A and Class AB operation and up to 4.0W + 4.0W into 16Ω through the balanced output.
The ID6 is built to serve as the central hub of a desktop or full-size audio system. In addition to headphone playback, it can operate as a DAC, line-level source, or volume-controlled preamplifier and provides extensive digital input and output options.
