NOS Vacuum Tubes

The CP6 is equipped with Raytheon JAN6418 vacuum tubes, which form a dual-channel Class A common-cathode amplification stage. All outputs support one-touch switching between three distinct timbre modes. 

Classic Timbre delivers a smooth and effortlessly musical presentation. Modern Timbre offers a spacious soundstage with excellent resolution. Solid State Timbre presents clean, transparent and highly neutral production.

Dual Power Modes

CP6 supports both external DC power and an internal rechargeable lithium battery, allowing users to switch seamlessly between portable and desktop listening. Battery operation provides up to 7.5 hours of playback and supports PD fast charging.

When powered via DC, the headphone amplifier stage benefits from further optimization of both operating voltage and bias current. The balanced output power increases to an impressive 1300mW + 1300mW @ 16 ohms. CP6 also features an ultra-low standby current design.

Bi-Directional Bluetooth

The CP6 incorporates the flagship Qualcomm QCC3083 high-definition Bluetooth solution, featuring an integrated transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) dual-mode architecture. With support for Bluetooth 5.4, it delivers enhanced connection stability, stronger interference resistance, and lower latency.

Fully Discrete

The Cayin CP6 employs an amplifier architecture consisting of op-amp-based voltage amplification followed by a high-power discrete transistor push-pull amplification stage. This fully discrete design allows each circuit stage to perform its dedicated function with maximum efficiency. CP6 handles headphones and earphones across an exceptionally wide 8 ohms-600 ohms impedance range.

Dual-DAC Architecture

The Dual-DAC implementation is built around two Cirrus Logic CS4308P high-performance 32-bit, 8-channel audio DACs. Both DACs operate permanently in Mono Mode, enabling full-channel parallel differential current output for enhanced performance.

Following the conversion stage, two Texas Instruments OPA1612 audio-grade operational amplifiers are dedicated exclusively to I/V conversion and low-pass filtering. This ensures optimal signal integrity throughout the analog stage.

XMOS XU316 Platform

At the heart of CP6's digital audio section is the 16-core XMOS XU316, a professional-grade USB audio processor serving as the system's primary digital interface. Built around an asynchronous USB transmission architecture, it incorporates high-precision clock reconstruction to effectively minimize jitter. The result is a clean, stable digital signal path.
