The finest technical ingredients, such as the newly developed drivers with titanium graphite diaphragms, the speaker's 24-bit signal processing and the excellent build quality of the solid cabinet, allow our Smart Vento 5 S2 centre to play big in terms of sound - perfect for the centre of any home cinema.

Strong Features

For our current Smart Vento S2 model series, the engineers from the development lab have put in a lot of effort. A new loudspeaker chassis was developed to improve the technical properties and thus further enhance the sound quality and fidelity. The result is an acoustically excellent driver with titanium graphite diaphragms. The matt-finished cones of the woofers and mid-bass drivers are lightweight and operate without sound-damaging partial vibrations in their entire effective and transmission range. The technical improvements were achieved through a complex chemical process in which the previously used titanium drivers were transformed - both optically and technically. By using the new titanium graphite drivers, the Smart Vento 5 S2 sound both relaxed and dynamic.

Optimised technology for best sound

In the impressive three-way bass reflex centre speaker Smart Vento 5 S2, a top-class team of woofer, midrange driver and tweeter is responsible for the music. The bass specialist in 174 mm format with a double cone membrane made of titanium graphite delivers precise, deep bass. In the midrange, a midrange driver of the same size operates in its own volume, also benefiting from the excellent sound and material properties of our titanium graphite diaphragms. The suspension in the wave surrounds, which are capable of the highest excursions, ensures high power handling and excellent dynamics in the low and mid frequencies. In addition, the light and stiff diaphragms follow acoustic signals quickly and precisely. Our high-quality tweeter with 25 mm aluminium oxide ceramic cone is particularly accurate, brilliant and detailed. Its transmission front plate ensures ideal sound dispersion.

High quality finish

The cabinet of the fully active Smart Vento 5 S2 centre is harmoniously proportioned and impresses with its revised cabinet design, which makes the speaker more modern and elegant. But at Canton, enclosures must also meet the high technical demands of the developers - after all, a pretty exterior does not make a good sound. The best acoustic conditions for a precise sound are created by the solid, multi-layer laminate cabinet, the modified cabinet radii and the slightly modified dimensions compared to the predecessor. The increased internal volume allows the 3-way centre to be tuned with more bass bandwidth. Furthermore, the new design minimises interference with the sound from the cabinet itself. Multi-layered high-gloss lacquer with a perfect surface finish, the screwless integration of the drivers into the baffle with Diamond-Cut aluminium rings and an ovalised, magnetically adhering fabric cover make the Smart Vento 5 S2 centre a true premium speaker with a stylish, modern appearance.

In addition, devices can be connected digitally via optical and coaxial cables. The smart speaker communicates with computers via the USB-XMOS interface, which is excellent in terms of sound quality.
