The fully active Smart Townus 8 are equipped with powerful amps that provide 350W of power to each floorstanding speaker. This eliminates the need for external amplifiers and speaker cables. Simply place them in the desired location, connect the power cable and the external player, and you're ready to enjoy listening in your home. The wireless signal transmission with 24-bit signal processing between the speakers ensures music reproduction of the highest quality.

Easy Handling

Canton's Smart Townus 8 makes it easy: connect whatever your hi-fi heart desires to the numerous inputs. For this purpose, analog connections are available in high-quality XLR and Cinch versions, in addition to the digital optical/COAX variants. A USB input with XMOS enables contact with computers along with top-quality aptX Bluetooth. The Townus kit includes a selection of cables so you can start listening to music right away. Thanks to the smart features of the Smart Townus 8, you can expand the floorstanding speakers with additional Smart speakers from Canton (EG. compact Smart Townus 2.) Build a premium-sounding home cinema in single-room system or integrate your Smart Townus 8 a multi-room system as an excellent-sounding member.

Excellent Components

The elegant Smart Townus 8 impress with excellent sound performance in all situations. To achieve this, we use two potent woofers with 6" double cones made of titanium in the optimally dimensioned cabinet volume. These woofer specialists are complemented by a 6" midrange driver and the 1" high-resolution, aluminum oxide ceramic tweeter. The quartet of speakers is powered by a precision-tuned Class D amplifier with 350W of power per speaker. With Wave surround technology, the very solidly built cabinets with internal bracing and the strategically placed damping material keep sound-damaging resonances away from these speakers. The screwless Diamond-Cut aluminum rings of the drivers used are not only a visual highlight - they also increase the stability of the tweeter, midrange and woofer.

Soloist & Teamplayer

You can use the Smart Townus 8, quite classically, as a stereo speaker and combine it as you wish with other speakers from the Canton Smart family. In this way, you can create a 4.0 home cinema system in no time at all, without any wiring. The centre channel is created virtually, with precise dialogue reproduction and the best speech intelligibility from the mids. Canton's rigid Titanium Double Cone cones not only ensure a tidy appearance, they also guarantee dynamic bass reproduction with the highest precision and best timing. With the Smart Connect 5.1, you can expand your system almost at will: make your Smart Townus 8 the main speaker of a multi-channel surround system and supplement it with additional speakers from our Smart series. In this way, you can expand your personal home cinema step by step up to a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration - for impressive film sound from all directions.
