Bloom's Take Here at Bloom, we love the Andromeda. Even in today's crowded IEM market with new IEMs popping up seemingly weekly, Campfire's Andromeda consistently rises to the top of the discussions as a benchmark. We were able to get our hands on a few new units still available from Campfire Audio, so after this, you'll be searching the used ads for a set. The packaging is not the standard Andromeda box, but the IEMs along with the accessories are all factory-new in a sealed box. While the variations in the Andromeda story offer different flavors in sound tuning and design (with some controversy and strong opinion on which revision is best), very few earphones manage to be both revealing and "high resolution" while also delivering a sweet, musical, beautiful sound. Non-fatiguing and pleasurable across every genre of music thrown at it, the Andromeda 2019 amazes and pleases. It features a warm-neutral profile with a welcome and almost universally loved tuning. Andromeda combined all of the best elements of their earphone design experience at the time into a single set of earphones. The result was a remarkable and unique sounding earphone with superior top-to-bottom coherence. The 2019 refresh raised the bar on this audiophile classic. A refined body, new cable and new case elevated the Andromeda 2019 to new heights of excellence.
Andromeda 2019 exudes confidence in its handling of musical detail. It has high frequency extension that makes cymbals sparkle, Mids that are uncolored and fully resolved, and extended Bass that is balanced, rich in texture, and well-defined.
2019 Revision: New Case + Cable
Building from Campfire's Silver-plated Copper Litz wire conductors and popular tangle-resistant twisted cable weave, they added a stylish Smoky jacket to compliment the unique finish of the earphones. A light-weight molded ear-hook design replaced the previous memory wire.
CFA's premium Green leather protective zipper case was an update to the previous standard case. Luxurious leather surrounds a protective rubber barrier that ensures your earphones will remain safe in transit. The interior is a dense faux wool lining that preserves the anodized finish of your earphones. Each case was made in Portugal by a small team of skilled artisans commited to quality.
