Less fatiguing than the Burson V6 Vivids. Pairs extremely well with a brighter headphone such as the HE1000se.
Adds the extra color, body and mucicality that is much needed in bursons ess dac. The four vivids played too harsh(although detailed and transparent), with the Susvaras, I listen for hours while I work so it get fatiging. Putting the classics in the I/V stage to replace the 2 vivids, it's like so much more livelier and euphoric. Really glad I made the swap! Also, just to note my first pair where defective but bloom was super quick I'm communication and sent me a postage right away. I got my order in 2 days even though they were in east coast, super happy.
I am running this with V6 Vivid Singles. Very happy with this pairing. Vocals sound lifelike with an Audeze LCD-X and it tamed the highs on a Focal Elegia.
Nice sounding op amps that I prefer to the vivids in my composer dac. Bloom Audio is awesome, fast shipping, quick response to questions, price matching and great pricing.
I changed out the volume side OpAmps on my Soloist 3X with the V6 Classic Op Amps leaving the two Vivid OpAmps in place on the output side. The resulting tonal change was exactly what I was looking for a slightly softer and warmer tone without losing the the clarity, separation, or sound stage width or depth. The Burson Soloist 3X is my desktop solid state headphone amp. My tube desktop amp is the McIntosch MHA200 and I feed both with the Holo Spring3 KTE DAC. I’m a huge fan of the Burson Op Amp family I’ve used them for years now they just make gear that use them sound better.
