Non-fazor closed backs. Warm and textured sound. I have the open LCD2's and the LCD X's also and I actually prefer the sound of the non-fazor models. Which is great, because they are cheaper and the same quality construction. The LCD X's have a bit more metal, though. I ordered an open box pair of them and they showed up absolutely flawless, typical Bloom attention to detail. Pairing these with the famously punchy sound of the Cambridge 200M and you have a great system for killer bass. R&B, bass heavy jazz, and hiphop never sounded so good.
