I started my head-fi journey a couple of years ago, starting with the LCD-2. After listening to and owning of different headphones from various companies (Susvara and ZMF headphones are some others I own, as well as the LCD-4), I keep coming back to the LCD-3 as my favorite after getting them about a year ago. They have an unusual ability to sound tonally dense yet resolving, and lush and ambient all at the same time. You may also enjoy them if you like those qualities. They're the best technical and yet emotionally engaging headphone that I've ever heard.
Audeze LCD-3 has been on my radar as my end-game for months, so I was thrilled when I found an open-box pair at Bloom Audio.
Bloom Audio are fantastic sellers. The online support answered all the questions I had before my purchase and the headphones shipped the same day. They arrived two days later in all original packaging and could easily pass as new.
I run the LCD-3 with a Schiit Yggdrassil GS DAC, Ragnarok 2 amp, and balanced after market cables as the cables that ship with Audeze's headphones are rather flimsy and short. I could not be happier!
