Noise within electronic devices can stem from various sources. Common culprits include poorly shielded cables or power supplies, noisy internal switching power supplies, dirty mains power and/or interference from other electronic devices.

This noise travels through the signal chain and reaches your TV, where the signal is converted to analog and visually displayed. Like audio DACs, interference and noise degrade the signal quality. But with video, results are shown as visual artifacts, image distortion, timing issues, color distortion and more.

Military Precision

Inspired by military radar cancellation techniques, iFi's proprietary Active Noise Cancellation 2 technology duplicates incoming noise signals from USB and inverts the polarity, effectively cancelling out incoming electromagnetic and radio interference. This technology means that measured noise drops by 100x (40dB) in comparison to the common noise filter.

The HDMI iSilencer incorporates surge protection via a Transient Voltage
Suppressor (TVS) system. Transient voltages can be caused by factors such as surges, lightning strikes, EMI, or electrostatic discharge. The HDMI iSilencer suppresses these excess and peak voltages, protecting connected equipment from damage and ensuring continuous operation.
