FiiO QX13

The QX13 marks the inaugural masterpiece of FiiO's new series, incorporating over a decade of their DAC/amp technological expertise. By integrating the amplification prowess of the Q-series with attachable/magnetic design features, it establishes itself as a high-specification HiFi USB DAC with a comprehensive ecosystem.

Desktop-Grade DAC

The ESS Sabre Pro ES0927PRO chip features a fully differential audio architecture design with 8 channels set up in parallel. It is paired with a pair of ultra-low-noise ES9312 regulators for precise output matching on each audio channel. Audio signals are accurately restored thanks to this pair of chips' optimized power efficiency and effectiveness in reducing clock jitter.

High-End TI Op-Amps

The QX13 features four wafer-level INA1620 precision amplifier chips, strategically arranged in a custom internal layout to drastically reduce crosstalk, even under demanding conditions. This design ensures cleaner channel separation and enhanced clarity. Complementing this are two low-distortion OPA1692 op-amps, delivering consistently dynamic performance across a wide range of load scenarios.

Patented Desktop Mode

Thanks to its advanced configuration, optimized audio circuitry, and improved heat dissipation, the QX13 delivers desktop-class power in desktop mode, rivaling full-size headphone amplifiers while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency. It also features a high-precision power meter that intelligently evaluates the capabilities of connected USB power sources, automatically adjusting gain and output to ensure optimal performance for any setup.

Digital and Analog Separation

To ensure precise and dynamic signal processing, the QX13 separates its digital and analog boards and shields them with an isolation cover. This not only minimizes interference between circuits but also enhances thermal management by efficiently absorbing and dissipating heat, allowing the QX13 to maintain stable, high-power output over extended use.

XMOS 16-Core XU316

The QX13 delivers professional-grade USB audio performance with ultra-low latency and support for up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and native DSD512 decoding. Dual femtosecond crystal oscillators with ultra-low phase noise and minimal temperature drift ensure precise handling of all sampling rates for optimal sound quality.

Powered by the XMOS XU316 processor, the QX13 also features a 10-band lossless PEQ, easily adjustable via the FiiO Control app for Android or through a web interface, giving you full control to tailor your sound to perfection.

Specially-Designed Audio Architecture

The QX13 distills the architecture of high-end DAC and headphone amplifiers into a remarkably compact form. With dual precision crystal oscillators ensuring accurate digital-to-analog conversion, the QX13 maintains signal integrity at every stage. The audio path includes multiple layers of analog processing—LPF voltage amplification, BUF current boosting, and parallel-enhanced current expansion—delivering sound quality on par with full-sized professional DAC and amp setups.

Premium Build

Pushing the boundaries of what is possible, the QX13 is made with up to 21 layers of stacked carbon fiber for a lightweight, yet durable build. The QX13 features an extra-large color display outfitted with third-generation high-strength glass with scratch resistance. Multiple newly developed UI themes powered by a 32-bit processor ensure the user experience is unrivaled among audio dongles.
