Bloom's Take

Finding a closed-back planar headphone genuinely competitive with an open-back is no easy task. Both HFM and competition have gained much ground here with unique engineering and materials. The Audivina is a more traditional closed-back design featuring HFM’s incredible Stealth tech, and we feel it's one of HiFiMAN’s best looking headphones. With its flagship-style headphone band, wood cups, brown leatherette pads, and cognac leather, this headphone is beautiful with a vintage, artistic flair. It also comes with terminations-a-plenty including XLR, 6.3 and 3.5 SE cables.

The Audivina sound exhibits a natural feeling bass, good detail and generally neutral timbre for the mids, and classic HFM treble with just the right amount of sparkle, sizzle, and air.

Where this headphone unquestionably shines is in the soundstage featuring some of the widest, most 3-D soundstages we’ve heard in a closed-back with next-level imaging that favors separation over cohesion. If HFM has achieved anything with these headphones, it’s in the feeling of space and air around the listener that seems to defy the laws of physics for a closed-back headphone.

Accurate Sonic Output

The advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing reflections that degrade the integrity of the sound waves, yielding only pure sonic output that is accurate.

"When we first developed Stealth Magnets, I knew the design held tremendous value for the pro audio market. The complete lack of interference guarantees accurate reproduction, so crucial when recording and mixing music. Of course, audiophiles will appreciate listening to music on AUDIVINA for exactly the same reason."

Theater Inspired Soundstage

AUDIVINA features a resonance chamber inspired by the acoustical architecture of the Beyreuth Festival Theater in Germany, famous for multi-stage attenuation that contributes to the listener hearing a wide, detailed soundstage in a small, enclosed space. Sound takes a circuitous route through the chamber, creating a wide soundstage beyond what is typically associated with open back headphones.

Premium Comfort

AUDIVINA’s ergonomic headband is constructed of high-precision CNC (computer numerical control) metal that is hand-polished for the ideal combination of comfort and durability. The cable socket is designed to ensure contact resistance remains low with no audible effect on the signal path. Earpads are manufactured from eco-friendly, silky leatherette material. Sonics and comfort are maximized for hours-long listening sessions.

Audivinia headphones

I purchased these headphones solely on the sale price. After buying them I watched a bunch of reviews and started to regret my decision but after receiving them, those regrets went away!

While they definately won't appeal to everyone, I'm open minded enough (old enough) to understand what they are about.

All the reviews were accurate and everyone is different but in my case, I'm truly astounded by the sound as a whole. I'd never pay $2000 for these but I'd pay what I paid for them all day long.

My meze 109 Pros subjectively sound better all around but I hear things in the audivinias that i don't hear in any of my other headphones.
