CIELO Design Concept

In the past, high-end multi-driver headphones were often expensive and uncomfortable to wear. Drawing from extensive experience, I/O Audio has developed a product that optimizes comfort and affordability while maintaining a dynamic tuning concept.

16 Balanced Armature Drivers

CIELO maintains an exceptional driver configuration with independent drivers for highs, mids, and bass, each carefully optimized for impedance. The number of drivers used is not just for material stacking, it is designed to enhance overall performance.

High-Efficiency Frequency Crossover

The earphones utilize a six-way independent electronic frequency crossover as well as a four-way acoustic nozzle frequency crossover design. All electronic components used are high-performance, top-tier selections. Instead of conventional PCB-mounted SMDs, point-to-point wiring is employed, augmented by extensive physical frequency crossover techniques. This approach delivers a significantly more natural sonic character.

Custom High-Performance Mids Driver

The new custom mids driver features a redesigned vibration diaphragm, emphasizing the mid-frequency response. Within the architecture of the 16 balanced armatures, the independent damping system and power distribution have been re-optimized to achieve frequency crossover and deliver neutral, accurate mid-range sound.

Newly Developed High-Frequency + Bass Driver

CIELO incorporates a custom-designed, high-performance balanced armature driver specifically for treble reproduction. The high-frequency module utilizes an equal-length acoustic tube design. This significantly reduces phase discrepancies typically introduced by conventional parallel tubing methods, resulting in a flatter phase response.

The newly designed bass balanced armature has optimized the overall motor design, providing a higher quality of continuous bass output.

Ergonomics

The IEM features an excellent ergonomic design, boasting very small external dimensions and a lightweight fit compared to similar products. Additionally, the optimized weight distribution enhances the overall wearing experience, maintaining the superior comfort of previous models.

Premium Stock Cable

The CIELO is equipped with a premium stock cable, featuring a Teflon insulation and an accurately twisted core. The inner core is wrapped with a soft, skin-friendly medical-grade TPU sheath, then re-twisted to create a cable that is soft, tangle-resistant, and provides good airtightness. 

The Concentric-Lay Structure effectively minimizes differential mode interference from cables and external electromagnetic sources.
