Moondrop Skyland | Open-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones

Skyland Pushes Planar Tech to its Limits With a Groundbreaking Ultra-Thin Diaphragm, Delivering Lightning-Fast Response and Balanced Sound
- Large 100mm Full Drive Technology diaphragm
- Nanoscale Ultra-thin diaphragm
- Multi-layer pure silver etched circuit
- Dual 3.5mm interchangeable cable design with 4.4mm plug

Full Drive Technology
In contrast to traditional planar magnetic headphones, Skyland adopts an ultra-large 100mm-diameter diaphragm incorporating Full Drive Technology. The result is a low-split vibration superior to traditional planar headphones and comparable to electrostatic.
By immersing the diaphragm in a perfectly uniform planar magnetic field and extending the drive circuit across nearly the entire surface, Skyland achieves an exceptional 95.5% effective drive area. This full-surface control delivers electrostatic-like precision, eliminating split vibrations and unlocking treble clarity that far surpass traditional planar magnetic designs.
Woven Metal Protective Grille
Skyland features a highly acclaimed acoustic transparency open-back design that significantly reduces reflections caused by external decorations. The structural edge next to the diaphragm is smoothly transitioned with a low-diffraction matte surface which results in a natural, transparent sound.
To protect the diaphragm from damage, a protective metal grille is positioned at an appropriate distance away from the diaphragm. The grille is constructed using round-surfaced metal wires arranged in a sparse weave, maintaining open-back acoustic qualities while providing reliable protection.
N55 Magnet Array Optimized by FEA
The Skyland adopts an array of 36 extra-large N55 neodymium strip magnets to generate a planar magnetic field covering the entire vibrating surface of the diaphragm. Optimized Finite Element Analysis ensures uniform and efficient distribution of the magnetic field over the vibrating surface.

500nm Nanoscale Ultra-Light + Ultra-Thin Diaphragm
Skyland incorporates a brand-new ultra-light and ultra-thin diaphragm with a thickness of about 500 nanometers. This design approaches the limits of planar technology, achieving an ideal vibration mode that delivers rich details, rapid response, and a balanced frequency response.
Stress Balance Technology
A multi-layer pure silver etching circuit enhances the uniformity of the Lorentz force acting on the diaphragm, reducing split vibrations and creating a smoother high-frequency range. To further balance surface stress, Skyland incorporates Tension Balance Technology (TBT) which delivers a refined experience when coupled with high-end devices.
Aluminum Driver-Cavity Structure
The integrated driver-cavity structure of Skyland is designed to create a space-stacked environment for the super-large FDT diaphragm and expansive magnetic circuit. Utilizing an all-aluminum alloy CNC hollow structure, the design promises support of the magnetic circuit system.
