The CrinEar Reference is a purpose-built in-ear monitor engineered to achieve extreme tonal accuracy. Developed through bleeding-edge acoustic research, Reference is designed to be the world’s flattest-measuring IEMs available, prioritizing transparency, linearity, and repeatable accuracy.
The CrinEar Reference is engineered as a true monitoring tool, delivering realistic, true-to-source playback for critical listening and mix evaluation.
Providing reliable tonal balance, precise midrange clarity, and controlled low-frequency response, the Reference aims to be your portable studio monitor, allowing mixes to translate with confidence beyond any room.
Bass frequencies are handled by a custom-built system utilising twin 10mm dynamic drivers, arranged in a horizontally-opposed configuration. This Horizontally-Opposed Dual Woofer System (HODWS) allows the two woofers to share their mechanical load, resulting in:
Ultimately ensuring realistic bass response out of a flat tuning, because "flat bass" shouldn't mean "no bass."

Midrange and high frequencies are reproduced by a carefully-constructed array of twin Sonion midrange drivers and a single Knowles supertweeter. Every driver is hand-selected to achieve our stringent tuning goals, and subsequently designed with the most efficient crossover network possible.
All of the Reference’s drivers are housed in a full aluminium metal shell, precision-machined using a 5-axis CNC process. The contoured pseudo-custom geometry provides:
A premium Silver-plated Copper detachable cable is included, featuring an interchangeable termination system. The 3.5mm single-ended plug is for universal compatibility, while the 4.4mm balanced plug is intended for lower crosstalk and improved channel separation.
Enjoy flexibility across portable and desktop sources, consumer and professional, without sacrificing signal quality.
