DUNU V53

Created as the official "Arashi" amplifier, the v53 embodies a balance of technical precision and musicality. The desktop headphone amplifier is powered by six Sanyo NCR18650 cells which provide interference-free power and ensure up to 24 hours of continuous playback. Boasting audiophile-grade sound, the v53 is built with Nichicon KZ and ELNA Silmic2 capacitors for voltage regulation and noise-free amplification.

Collaboratively Crafted

The v53 is born in result of a collaboration with niuniu AUDIO, whose name reflects the fusion of science and art, symbolized by the evolution of the letters N (niuniu) and H (Hi-End).

This amplifier represents the perfect balance between precise engineering and emotional musicality, delivering an audio experience that is both thoughtful and immersive. Its design pays tribute to Beethoven’s Waldstein Piano Sonata No. 21, Op. 53, embracing the principles of simplicity and modernism.

Fully Balanced Circuit

The model 53 features a quad-channel full-balanced amplification circuit, where all voltage amplification sections are powered by high-spec Texas Instruments op-amps.

Even under conditions where THD+N < 0.01%, the amplifier delivers an impressive 1200mW output at 64Ω load (battery-driven, balanced output). This immense power ensures that the v53 provides exceptional compatibility with all types of high-impedance over-ear headphones, from dynamic drivers to planar magnetic, with enough power to drive them with clarity and precision.

Battery-Driven, Precise Power Supply

Powered by a high-voltage battery pack made up of six Sanyo NCR18650 cells, this system ensures stable and pure sound output in various environments. With an impressive 88Wh battery capacity, it also guarantees up to 24 hours of continuous playback.

Each high-voltage battery pack is meticulously balanced, ensuring that the voltage and internal resistance of each cell are matched, with the resistance difference between the six cells kept under 1 milli ohm.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

The v53's chassis is meticulously crafted from a single block of 6063 aluminum alloy using CNC machining, which offers superior anti-resonance and shielding capabilities compared to conventional, jointed enclosures. Finished with a refined sandblasted surface, it boasts an elegant texture and a striking design that leaves a lasting impression.

Additional Features

Powerful Materials for Superior Sound
The design features 8 Nichicon KZ water-tank capacitors, wide-band buffers, Vishay 0.1% 15ppm wafer resistors, and 20 additional Nichicon KZ & ELNA Silmic2 capacitors. This meticulously engineered voltage division and filtering module ensures a clean, stable power supply while eliminating switching noise from the battery-boosted circuit.

Panasonic Signal Relays
The long-lasting, high-performance Panasonic signal relays are employed for input and gain switching. Featuring gold-plated silver-palladium contacts, they offer rapid response and zero degradation in sound quality.

Polypropylene Metal Foil Oil-Immersed Capacitors
The coupling capacitors used in the v53 are MIFLEX polypropylene metal foil oil-immersed capacitors from Poland. In addition to the high-performance benefits of MKP capacitors, these provide outstanding tonal richness.

Neotech 7N OCC Silver Internal Wiring
The v53 employs Neotech 7N OCC Silver internal wiring, selected after extensive testing of various wire types, including 7N OCC copper, CARDAS golden ratio copper, and GOTHAM LCOF copper. Despite its higher cost, 7N OCC Silver was chosen for its superior sonic performance.
