Open-Back Architecture

The open-back acoustic design of Mortise minimizes internal reflections and standing wave interference, allowing sound to propagate more freely. By reducing internal pressure buildup and non-linear distortion, the soundstage is enhanced by width and depth. The imaging is relaxed, yet precise, with clearly defined spatial positioning.

Warm and Rich Sound

Mortise's tuning leans toward a warm, full-bodied presentation. Vocals are richly textured, low frequencies extend deep with controlled impact, and the treble is smoothly extended. Ultra-Thin Carbon Fiber Dynamic Driver

At Mortise's core is a 50mm full-range dynamic driver, paired with an N52 neodymium magnet system to create a high-flux magnetic circuit. This configuration delivers ample power and precise transient response. 

The diaphragm is constructed from a lightweight, high-rigidity composite carbon fiber material. It reduces unwanted breakup while improving speed and control. Combined with a W-shaped diaphragm profile and an independent flexible suspension system, the driver achieves more linear and stable excursion. The result is enhanced detail retrieval and highly controlled presentation across the frequency range.

North American Black Walnut Housing

The housing is crafted from carefully selected North American black walnut, prized for its naturally warm grain and understated character. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the material offers beneficial internal damping properties, helping to control resonance and reduce unwanted high-frequency artifacts.

High-Purity Single-Crystal Copper Cable

The cable is constructed from high-purity single-crystal copper conductors, ensuring efficient signal transmission with minimal loss and interference. A nylon outer layer provides additional vibration damping, helping preserve fine detail and maintain a clear, natural sense of layering. 

It features the Q-Lock Mini plug system with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced terminations, along with a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of portable and desktop audio equipment.

Adaptive Ergonomic Structure

Mortise's headband features an adaptive suspension design that naturally conforms to different head shapes, evenly distributing pressure across the top of the head. A carefully tuned elastic steel frame provides stable support while minimizing clamping force, ensuring a secure yet relaxed fit.
