Bloom's Take Feliks Audio's Euforia EVO is the long-awaited update to the almost 6-year old original. There are some small changes to the overall design and noticeable improvements under the hood. The EVO provides exquisite eye candy and ambiance to your desktop, especially from the warm glow of the vacuum tubes when powered on. The EVO delivers clean, transparent sound with the perfect amount of smooth character to maintain its musicality. It yields absolutely incredible stereo imaging, delivering a wide 3-D soundstage and very convincing holographic imaging. Even IEMs performed quite well with a pretty low noise floor, so if you’re looking for an all-in-one desktop solution for your gear, the EVO really can deliver and provides great performance from a variety of planar magnetics, dynamic driver headphones, and even sensitive IEMs. Tube amps can seem intimidating, but EVO’s plug and play concept and single volume knob operation make it accessible. And while the elegance and convenience is nice, its greatest trait is its premium sound and is undoubtedly one of the finest sounding amps we’ve heard at Bloom. |
The EVOlution Never Ends
Euforia EVO is Feliks' new flagship headphone amp and the ultimate achievement in OTL technology. The Euphoria Anniversary edition internals have been carried over with an added XLR output. It presents as smooth, neutral, and dynamic and uses UPOCC wiring and premium components for a point to point design. It is the perfect match with dynamic and most planar magnetic headphones.
A beautifully handcrafted OTL built around two PsVane CV-181 Mk2 “Gold” driver tubes and two 6N13S power tubes, the EVO delivers amazing dynamism and sound stage. Euforia EVO's unique design allows for exceptional sound quality with a broad range of headphones, and is powerful enough to drive demanding low impedance headphones (<32Ω) including planar magnetics.
