Clean Power with Minimum Interference

HA-3A users the renowned RCA 25AX4GT as a rectifier tube. The rectifier converts the incoming power souce to DC current and the RCA 25AX4GT does this while minimizing interference and providing clean power to the amplification circuit. Accompanying the RCA 25AX4GT Rectifier are dual matched JJ 12AU7/ECC82 in the driver stage, and dual EHX 6V6GT for the output stage.

Transformer-coupled, Balanced Drive

The 6V6 output drivers a pair of proprietary output transformers that support single-ended and balanced headphone outputs. The secondary winding of the output transformer provides the alternate phase needed for a balanced output, enabling balanced power from a single-ended origin.

Incredible Craftsmanship and In-house design

The entire circuit is hand wired using point to point wiring, rather than a circuit board. Point to point, shortens the signal path and improves the efficiency and conductivity. Cayin also uses power transformers, designed and wound in house, to ensure that the shielding and output is up to their standards.

Cayin HA-3A & Bloom

Once again Bloom has proven to be able to provide all three: Service, Quality & Price. Excellently so.
The specific unit I wanted had to be special ordered with an ETA of the end of the year or January. Instead it arrived at my door two weeks later direct from Hong Kong. I paid up front and got an unexpected discount. Nice.

This Cayin HA-3A with the silver face plate is built like a tank, very cleanly designed with a slightly retro-modern "industrial" look, exactly to my taste. Out of the box, it immediately sang beautifully though I could hear a slight constraint and edge in the treble, a slight dullness/lack of depth in the mid range timbre and tightness in the bass to be expected in a new product like this. I ran some system enhancer CDs through it for about 8-10 hours and - Wow - all these initial observations resolved. A little "burn-in" did wonders. So far, this seems to be exactly what I wanted. Now there is some pleasing warmth with rich timbre to evoke the emotional response that causes one to get lost in the music, lose track of time and notice involuntary foot tapping and head nodding. For me this Cayin does this without sacrificing the technical details of dynamics, sound stage, timing, etc. I feel it will get even better as it accumulates 100+ hours on it. Even now it provides just the right balance of ample bass, rich mid range and treble clarity (though my older ears do not hear way up into the teens any more).

This Cayin also provides an abundance of options to accommodate various inputs, headphone outputs, impedance matching, etc. All these details are available on Bloom's product page. My familiar old IE900s are like new IEMs and the ZMF headphones on their way to me just ask for this Cayin amp. Of course, this is my experience. Your experience might be different as every component in the signal path makes a difference, our sonic preferences are different and each of us hears differently. But if you like a little warmth and listen for emotional impact, the HA-3A provides great value for the price and is worth a try.
