This is a beautiful, well made case that fits the N3 Ultra like a glove. The N3 exudes quality and this case matches it in that regard. The protective case that comes with the N3 Ultra DAP is ok, but it doesn't enhance the look of the player anywhere near the way this one does. Now for the bad news.... the metal fins on the back of the case are like razor blades. Seriously, I don't know what Cayin was thinking when they designed this, you really need to be careful not to cut yourself. I know there needs to be a way to allow heat to dissipate, but they should have figured out another way. If you can look past that this is a really well made, quality product.
Took me awhile to pick this classy protective case up (I’ve used the stock clear plastic case the last two years), but now that it’s on my Cayin N3 Ultra, it’s so pleasing on the eye, and feels so good in hand (aside from the shaver like razor blade slats/vents lol). I was going to dock a star for those sharp vent slats, but the overall outlay, and feel of the leather and stitching, prevented nothing but 5 stars. As i stated, this is s classy cover, and has elevated my N3U experience after 2 years of ownership.

I also have the same case for the N3 Pro. Excellent fit and love the green color. My one star deduction is for the absence of an opening for the SD card. Same for the N3 Pro case. They have one on the standard silicone case. Like the N3 Pro case, I'll have to take it to my local leather shop and have them modify it. I swap SD cards many times and don't want the case to wear out from sliding the player out. I would still highly recommend this case as is it much better than the standard one.
