The Next Iteration

The MOONRIVER 3 features dual flagship decoding chips, the CS43198 from Cirrus Logic, along with an amplification circuit that includes two independent high-power dual-channel amplifier chips. It integrates a next-generation Hi-Fi USB digital interface and five independent power supply chips, which provide dedicated power to each IC. This configuration results in a complete Hi-Fi audio circuit architecture characterized by high power, ultra-low distortion, low noise, and rich timbre.

New USB Audio Chip

Featuring a new USB audio chipset, the MOONRIVER 3 now supports easy compatibility with different devices and supports 32-bit/384kHz PCM, Native DSD256 audio signal decoding. With dual independent amplifiers, the Moonriver 3 achieves a strong output thrust reaching 4Vrms/500mW per channel.

Independent Power with PD Charging Support

MOONRIVER 3 has an additional Type-C port for independent power to the amp circuit and PD Charging support for the connected device. This port is only compatible with the included ddHiFi PD cable and supports up to 60W charging to your connected device (actual power input will depend on the connected device.)

Ultra-Low Noise Floor

With high-end chipsets on the circuit, the MOONRIVER 3 achieves a true high-fidelity sound output. It reaches 131dB dynamic range, ensuring a crystal clear background with ultra-low noise floor. 

Thoughtfully Designed

The portable DAC/amp is designed with a physical volume control knob that can be pressed to pause playback, providing precise tactile feedback when turned. It allows for nearly lossless 100-step volume control through a digital encoder, effectively separating the device’s volume control from the mobile phone. This design enhances performance and offers a smooth volume adjustment experience.

It also includes a physical switch that enables users to turn DSP tuning on or off with a single button. The switch also provides a clear indication of the current state of use.
