RU3 is powered by a single ESS ES9069Q DAC in a dual-channel configuration, built around ESS’s latest HyperStream IV Dual DAC architecture and advanced SABRE HiFi technology. Each channel features its own independent op-amp stage, delivering pinpoint signal precision and outstanding channel separation.

A dedicated LDO power system and ultra–low phase noise crystal oscillator further refine performance, reducing distortion and crosstalk to vanishing levels. The result is a soundstage that opens up with greater width and depth, unveiling layers of crystal-clear detail and breathtaking musical realism.

RU3 is built with two TI OPA1602 op-amps for high-precision I/V conversion and line driving, paired with two SGM8262 low-noise amplifiers to form a fully balanced quad-drive design.

This tiny dongle punches so far above its 99.00 asking price, it’s hard to comprehend just how good this little gem is.

RU3 is better then RU6,RU7 ! It has a warm organic thick sound signature . Smooth across the frequency ! Very musical ! More musical then the rest ! Easy to use and enough power to drive any iem i have ! RU3 and onix beta are my fav Dac amps at the moment ! Bloom audio are the best to buy from . Very fast shipping and great service !

Fantastic Value!

This little guy is great! Tons of power and to me has a nice neutral signature. I mainly bought this because it has 4.4 Line Out to hook up with my Ibasso PB6 Macaw and the results are stunning. Now, the PB6 is doing the heavy lifting on providing an incredibly immersive stage and overall experience but a couple things stood out when using the RU3 on its own.

The first thing that stood out to me with the RU3 versus other dongles I’ve tried is the space between instruments just seems to be cleaner. They each have their own little spot. Not so much in terms of a huge soundstage but what I mean is it’s a very vivid and clean stage.

The second thing that stands out is the tonality of instruments. Just so natural. I wouldn’t have thought there was anything “wrong” with previous dongles in this respect but after trying this one it just seems a notch above. So clean and correct is best way to describe it.

Fantastic Sound

My favorite dongle is the Querstyle M15i and this basically sounds the same but smaller and cheaper. I bought it to have a dac/amp to take to work and was going to be OK with it sounding a bit worse since the M15i was already better than the desktop dac/amp I had before. But honestly aside from a tiny bit of soundstage depth that this does not have vs the m15, this sounds the same. I'd be happy for this to be my only dac/amp.

Outstanding Sound and Value

This is my favorite $100 dongle. The features are extensive, and the sound quality is great, even when driving high-resistance headphones. A very strong recommendation.
