Recently, I had the opportunity to buy the Cayin Jazz 100. I had been looking for a new integrated amplifier for several months and just couldn't make up my mind. At the time I was looking at either Yamaha or Advanced Paris. Then I stumbled onto a YouTube video about tube amps...it really gave me cause for reconsideration. I did a lot of research and thought I had found the one. I actually pulled the trigger and bought one only to cancel the order after finding commentary stating several flaws with the unit. So, back to the search. It didn't take long...enter the Jazz 100. I found a video reviewing the 100 and it seemed right up my alley.
Fast forward to today and I find myself loving the 100 more every time I crank it up. The packaging was top-notch and set up was super easy. The 100 is a beast weighing in at 77 lbs. I was a bit nervous connecting it to my Klipsch Chorus II's, as I had read that 805 tubes don't do well with speakers excellent sensitivity. All I can say is that the 100 really opened up the C2s and there weren't any of the issues I'd read about. The lows are excellent and mids are sublime. It can get bright and fatigueing at higher volumes, Klipsch are known for that, but I don't really listen that loud.
Anyway, I really like the Cayin Jazz 100 and I would definitely recommend it.
Happy listening!
