Classic Cayin Character

At the heart of the HA-1A MK3 is a pure vacuum-tube amplification circuit designed to deliver the natural tonal richness, smoothness, and musical engagement that have made Cayin tube amplifiers popular among headphone enthusiasts around the world. 

The amplifier employs 12AU7/ECC82 and EL84/6BQ5-family vacuum tubes, working together to create a refined and expressive presentation with the unmistakable character of tube amplification.

Class-A Tube Amplification

The HA-1A MK3 operates with a Class A amplification topology, prioritizing linearity and sonic purity. Rather than pursuing output power alone, the amplifier has been carefully tuned to achieve a balance between tonal density, detail, dynamics, and long-term listening comfort. It is equally suitable for vocals, acoustic music, jazz, classical music, and modern productions.

Custom Transformers

Transformers have always played an important role in Cayin tube amplifier designs. For the HA-1A MK3, Cayin has developed dedicated power and output transformers specifically matched to the amplifier circuit. Together with carefully arranged internal power-supply sections, the design provides a stable foundation for the signal path and helps minimize unwanted interference.

Designed for Different Loads

Different headphones present very different electrical demands, especially when moving between low-impedance planar headphones and higher-impedance dynamic designs. The HA-1A MK3 therefore provides multiple headphone impedance settings, allowing users to better match the amplifier with the characteristics of their headphones. Both 6.35 mm single-ended and 4-pin XLR balanced headphone outputs are provided on the front panel.

All in One Amp

The HA-1A MK3 is not limited to headphone listening. A dedicated PRE-OUT is provided on the rear panel, allowing the amplifier to serve as a tube preamplifier for active loudspeakers or an external power amplifier. With both headphone amplification and preamplifier functionality integrated into one compact chassis, the HA-1A MK3 can easily become the heart of a personal desktop audio system.
