The Final Audio DX4000 CL is a breakthrough in closed-back headphone design that delivers an unexpectedly expansive and natural soundstage without sacrificing isolation, thanks to advanced driver technology, tuned internal acoustics, and premium materials.

Expansive Closed-Back Sound

Closed-back headphones often feel confined due to structural limitations. The DX4000 CL uses extra-thick 30 mm memory foam ear pads to increase the distance between the driver and your ear while ensuring a solid seal. Combined with a low-distortion driver and optimized internal structure, this creates a surprisingly open and immersive sound experience, almost forgetting it’s a closed-back design.

Washi + Carbon Composite Diaphragm

The driver’s diaphragm uses a special composite material made by infusing carbon fiber into traditional Japanese Washi paper. This creates a lightweight, rigid, and responsive diaphragm with excellent internal damping. A “free-edge” design allows smooth diaphragm movement for cleaner, low-distortion sound, while a glass-fiber-reinforced resin front plate adds structural rigidity.

Rear Diffuser Array Structure

Inside the housing, an advanced Rear Diffuser Array breaks up parallel surfaces and scatters internal reflections. This design effectively suppresses unwanted resonance and creates a clear, controlled acoustic space that sounds remarkably open for a closed-back headphone.

Repairable Construction for Longevity

The DX4000 CL is designed with long-term use in mind. The housing uses minimal adhesive and is assembled with O-rings and precision screws, making repairs and maintenance easier than traditional sealed designs. 

Memory Foam Ear Pads

The thick memory foam ear pads covered in synthetic leather provide high acoustic sealing and outstanding comfort. They’re also easy to replace without tools, enabling long-term usability.

Premium Silver-Coated Cable

A Final-original silver-coated cable with 4.4mm balanced termination is included with the DX4000 CL headphone. Its high-conductivity design minimizes signal loss for clearer detail and resolution.
