Bloom's Take Noble has been a pioneer in the IEM market for about 11 years. Apollo represents their very first foray into the headphone game and answers the question "what happens when a brand as established as Noble enters new territory?" As a first attempt, Noble showed up big time and let everyone know they are here to stay. The folks over at Noble are really good people, and we were fortunate enough to get our hands on a prototype of Apollo during a visit in March 2024. Noble previewed its 'First Look' for Apollo in Canjam Singapore 2024 on April 6 featuring a super comfortable fit, Bluetooth 5.3, lossless audio, and gaming tech such as removable boom mic. With its release, we were pleasantly surprised with the full package and just how much was included. In fact when it comes to features as a whole, Apollo roughs up the competition as the clear winner. While Apollo may not take the wireless, over-ear gold medal in every category... Focal, Sennheiser, and Audeze, you might want to ask Bathys, Momentum, and Maxwell to make some room on the podium... |
The FoKus Apollo is Noble's first foray into the world of over-ear headphones. The Apollo is a powerhouse of industry leading sound quality and innovation featuring the world's first patented single 40mm Dynamic driver + 14.5mm Planar Magnetic hybrid driver arrangement.
Planar Magnetic drivers are known for their delicacy and accuracy, but without the blurring effects of excessive inertia due to their extremely thin, lighter than air diaphragms. However, the drawback to such speakers is that they lack the ability to move sufficient air mass to produce the quality of bass most listeners prefer. And while Dynamic drivers provide excellent bass by moving significant amounts of air, due to their mass, they cannot provide the crystal clear mid and high frequencies of which Planar Magnetics are capable. By utilizing both Dynamic and Planar Magnetic speakers, Noble FoKus Apollo provides the clarity needed while retaining the bass demanded.
Hybrid ANC is a type of active noise cancellation that uses microphones on both the inside and outside of the headphone to cancel out ambient noise. It combines the advantages of feedforward and feedback ANC, allowing for faster noise pickup and more precise cancellation.
Purchased an open box, arrived within a week and was in excellent condition. 10/10 would buy my future audio equipment here again!
Noble headphones
I absolutely love these headphones. The noise canceling is really great compared to the Bathurst and I have to say the sound is just unreal. It’s maybe better than my Warwick Bravura when used with a deck and the analog cable. It was a really nice surprise to find a boom Mike inside and I’ve been using them as a telephone headset as well. Definitely get these!
noise cancelling enabled sound is not good (still bathys is better)
when noise cancelling was disabled, sound is better (still Solitare T HQ mode is better)
wireless headphone with noise cancelling will be default feature.
so I can not give high rating. (3 stars)
Most impressive headset I’ve ever purchased.
Exhausted with replacing headsets every 5 years. Hoping this one lives up to its reputation.
