By combining a molding process that uses no heat-resistant materials with post-processing free from hot extrusion or rolling processes, the product can be mass-produced in a way that excludes inclusions and impurities. While the product is a 4N grade material (copper purity 99.99%), it possesses high malleability and drawability that allows processing up to superfine wires.

Featuring a proven twisted design, each cable is made of 140 conductors with 0.04mm in diameter, in an eight-wire to four-wire braid configuration. Twisting the wires minimizes the energy of the magnetic fields created by each wire, allowing us to achieve proper noise and signal interference reduction. This technique accomplishes two main objectives: reduces outgoing noise and reduces incoming noise related to electromagnetic interference.

I truly dig the sound of the 109Pro and the 105 Silva isn’t far behind

I truly dig the sound of the 109Pro and the 105 Silva isn’t far behind. However, the stock cables leave more a bit of their beautiful sound in the amplifier’s waiting room. I don’t know if one can find any magazines there, but even if one did, I doubt that the Mezes or any other headphone do much reading. The copper upgrade opens the waiting room door and lets the music out. Ot’s rich, deep, emotionally involving; delicate when the voice to instrument is delicate; emphatic and deeply textured when the music gets loud and proud. I can differentiate the timbres of tubas and basses when they play in unison—Dvorak’s 6th Symphony with the Baltimore Symphony and Marin Alsop on Nonesuch. I can hear and almost see Cecilia Bartolli’s lips as they express different the moods in her arias album on her Mozart Portrait with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and Gyorgy Fischer on London. Could I enjoy the headphones with the included cables. Of course. But with the upgrade, they give you a much more complete musical experience.
