The New Flagship DX340

The DX340 has inherited the dual system controllers and dual batteries power supply structure of the DX300 series and is equipped with the industry-leading in-house discrete PWM-DAC and FPGA-Master 3.0 technologies. The -119dB THD+N is in the league of flagship desktop discrete DAC, allowing the DX340 to break through to the new heights for discrete component portable players. The replaceable AMP card with 12V DC-IN enriches the DX340' s functionality and playability and allows the DX340 to output up to 2150mW+2150mW@32Ω.

FPGA-Master 3.0

The DX340s FPGA-Master 3.0 brings together iBasso's algorithm achievements from the past few years and is the reason they have been able to accomplish breakthroughs for their discrete DAC. As the audio system controller, it directly requests audio data from the SoC and plays a major role in signal reproduction and maintaining signal integrity. It synchronizes and generates all audio clocks utilizing two Accusilicon femtosecond oscillators to achieve a fully synchronized single clock source.

The number of LUT units in this new FPGA chip is 7.5 times that of FPGA-Master2.0. This allows the FPGA-Master3.0 to be equipped with their new and exclusive harmonic adjustment algorithm, which makes odd and even harmonics adjustment possible.

128 Discrete PWM-DACs

The DX340 employs 16 Sets of cascaded 8E PWM-DACs. There are 4 sets per L+, L-, R+, R-, which is 32 PWM-DACs. The quantity of the DAC exceeds that of other portable discrete DACs by more than 6.4 times. The remarkable integration of accurate decoding and a substantial quantity of extremely high-quality DACs results in a THD+N level of -119dB, significantly outperforming similar open source PWM-DACs (-80dB), clearly positioning the DX340 as a leader in this industry.

Dual Battery Power Supply

The power supply is a fundamental component that significantly influences the sound quality of the player. When the player operates on a single battery, high load conditions can lead to an inadequate power supply, resulting in additional distortion and a subsequent decline in sound quality.

DX340 features iBasso's innovative dual battery structure, ensuring that both the digital and AMP sections are powered by an independent battery for optimal performance. An independent battery power supply guarantees the stability of the AMP section's power, while effectively isolating electromagnetic interference from the digital section. This significantly mitigates the decline in sound quality that can result from inadequate power supply.

Simultaneously, iBasso has enhanced the dual battery structure of the DX340, implementing a single battery indicator for charging and power monitoring. When linked to a USB charger that provides adequate power, the DX340 will override the internal battery system and operate solely on the external power source. The ever-evolving dual battery structure stands as a testament to our unmatched innovation.

Replaceable AMP Card Design

DX340 utilizes iBasso's replaceable amp card design, which is compatible with the AMP12, AMP13, & AMP14, and will also be compatible with other upcoming AMP1x series AMP cards.

The standard AMP card AMP15 utilizes 8 pieces BUF634 to ensure the high output ability. This new AMP card also supports external DC 12V power supply. After connecting to the DC 12V power supply, the amp power supply will be increased from the default ±8V to ±12V, and the "Super gain mode" will be available, the output power will be up to 2150mW+2150mW@32Ω. The exceptional output power allows the DX340 to drive IEMs and headphones with ease.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC

The DX340 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, complemented by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 high-speed memory, guaranteeing seamless system performance. The extensive memory capacity facilitates with ease the installation of substantial software volumes without concern. The DX340 offers Micro SD card expansion capabilities of up to 2TB, ensuring that storage space is never a concern.

Awesome DAP

The Ibasso dx340 is an incredible DAP, comes well packaged, beautiful case included. Some will say that it’s heavy, and they would be right, but it’s so solid I don’t mind it all, and the sound quality more than makes up for any additional weight. If you have the money DO IT, you will not be disappointed !!!!

The ultimate Dap

Coming from several daps. This one is above the rest. Aside from some cool features like interchangeable amps, the sound is the star of the show. Wide open sound stage with outstanding clarity. Paired with the Arya Unvailed it's just incredible. Grab one while you can. Bloom Audio is exactly where you should get it. Customer service off the charts.

Everything I've Wanted

The build, the DAC, the variety of interchangeable AMP's, the replaceable battery... best in show at the moment. I'm over the moon with this purchase and Bloom Audio went above and beyond in customer service.

The variety of options can be overwhelming when delving into the Dx340. The DAP is just the beginning because the Dx340 performs better and better stacked with a linear power supply and ideally a Ibasso PB5. The customization for your particular ideal sound profile is unlimited except maybe by your wallet.

Game Changer - levels up from DX320 (owner of that device for 2 years prior)

I've been using the iBasso DX340 for a few weeks now, and coming from the DX320, I can say without hesitation: this is a huge leap forward in every meaningful way.

Let’s start with sound — the DX340 takes everything I liked about the DX320 and sharpens it. The presentation is more natural and effortless, with deeper blacks, noticeably improved dynamics, and far better separation. There's a sense of space and clarity that the 320 just never quite reached, even with premium amp cards. It’s not a “wow” kind of tuning — it’s subtler than that — but over time, you realize you’re just listening longer, more often, and with a kind of ease that the 320 never fully delivered.

The build quality is also on another level. The stainless steel chassis feels bulletproof compared to the aluminum body of the 320. It's heavier, yes, but it feels intentional — dense, premium, and incredibly well-made. No flex, no cheapness, just solid industrial design. Even the rotating volume wheel, which was one of the weakest points of the DX320 (mine eventually failed completely), has been completely overhauled. On the DX340, it's solid, precise, and feels built to last — finally. A huge relief, because once that wheel failed on the 320, the device was more or less useless.

And same story with the battery. On the 320, once the then two batteries started degrading, you were on borrowed time with limited options. But the DX340 gives you direct access — unscrew the plate, swap the battery, and you're back in business. That kind of foresight and respect for the end user is almost unheard of in this space.

Now the screen — I honestly didn’t expect to care that much, but it’s a massive upgrade. It's bright, crisp, and — finally — actually usable outdoors. I was reading the screen clearly in full sun at high noon. That alone makes a difference when you're using it on the go or traveling.

One of my biggest gripes with the DX320 was Bluetooth stability, and I’m happy to report it’s been completely resolved here. LDAC, AptX HD — everything connects quickly and stays locked. It finally feels like a proper wireless-ready DAP without compromises.

If you’re on a DX320 and wondering if it’s worth the jump — in my view, yes. It’s not just a spec bump. This is a refined, mature, and truly complete upgrade that feels like it’s built to last. The DX340 doesn’t just sound better — it feels better, handles better, and integrates more cleanly into daily use. It’s everything I wanted the 320 to be. AND finally, hats off to the Bloom audio sales and service teams - who have exemplified top customer service and technical prowess. They truly care about their customers over the long term.

Something very special

I've been in the music business for over 40 years. There are only a handful of truly iconic music reproduction devices out there. The Ibasso DX340 is one of them. Real,live music is an almost religious experience and very hard to accurately reproduce. The minute that you first experience the glorious sound of this wonderful DAP, you know just how right and real the music is delivered to your eager ears. This is my sixth DAP and believe me, nothing else even comes close in delivering a truly honest and convincing playback experience. A first class product is even more enjoyable with the amazing support of a seller like Bloom Audio.
