Double-Shielded Data Cable Structure

The shielded structure of the Nyx cable isn’t suitable for the data portion of the cable since the data cable includes common transmission of current along with the digital signal. The stability of the current transmission depends on the number and purity of the conductors while the stability of the digital signal requires high conductor purity, reasonable twist structure, and a shielded layer design.

For the Nyx series, ddHiFi developed a double shielded parallel structure to shield current and data transmission respectively. Visually distinguishable, the pure silver shielding outer layer provides power transmission while the mixed silver and black shielding outer layer provides data transmission.

Works great with one caveat…

My new ddHiFi MFi09S OTG Cable | Lightning to USB-C works flawlessly for connecting my iPhone 13 to my Shanling EC Zero T CD player in DAC mode and sounds amazing! However that’s not the purpose that I purchased the cable for. I had planned to use it with the Chord Mojo 2 (4.4mm 2025 version) DAC that I was waiting to arrive. A few days later when it arrived I was extremely disappointed to find out that it will not maintain a connection between my iPhone and the Mojo 2. Both were fully charged and I tried multiple sets of headphones that I own at various volumes and it drops the connection between the two devices after a few seconds every single time. So unless I am experiencing an anomaly with my cable in particular I would not recommend this particular cable for this use case scenario. This issue aside, it is a rather exceptional quality cable in terms of looks, build quality and sound performance! If anyone has also experienced this problem and found a solution or workaround I would highly appreciate any assistance you could provide. 😀

Great cable! Bought the longer one and thought i might notice a difference, nope! Using it with my ifi Gryphon dac & Beyerdynamic DT1990 pro’s.

Great connection cable for older iphones (14 and earlier)

I used this with a Cayin RU7 and was able to drive off my iphone 12 max up to around 60 volume (low gain) and 128 bit recode. With a standard apple cable, I couldn't drive for more than 30 seconds at 64 bit recode and volume of around 30.
