These are totally worth it imo. I own the 64 Audio U12t iems, so now all of my wireless earbuds sound terrible. I have issue with how cumbersome the cable is, it’s quite heavy, so heavy it pulls the earbuds out of place frequently. The iFi Go Pods Max came out just in time. They are comfortable, super light, shockingly powerful. I have no complaints, they make my earbuds stay in place too. I’m delighted I now have wireless iems that I can’t get enough of and can take them anywhere. The UV sanitizer case is also pretty cool. The case is bulk, but lightweight and your iems stay connected to the go pods while in the case. I can’t say enough how stoked I am with this upgrade.
I know, I know; part of the point of IEMs is having a wired connection and certainly with the right DAC, that’s obviously true. However, sometimes it’s just more convenient to have a wireless setup. The iFi Go Pod Max are a great solution that lets you use your IEMs wirelessly. I found them to have a rock solid connection, haven’t had any problems at all. The sound is equally impressive, remembering that it’s certainly influenced by being over Bluetooth and in my case sending high res AAC audio from my iPhone. They’re also perfectly comfortable.
The case is HUGE, not going in your pocket; but it does fit my IEMs while attached, has a UV light for sterilizing, and can charge wirelessly.
There is an app that’s not very polished but is serviceable to change some settings.
Overall though, I am very happy with this product. Read the tech specs, there are some additional bells & whistles worth noting.
