Bloom's Take

The original Mojo revolutionized personal audio, delivering astonishing performance and sound from such a small footprint. The Mojo 2 is Chord’s reengineered sequel and has done more than defend the throne: it has seized it. A “What Hi-Fi?” 2022 award winner, the Mojo 2 is a lovable little aluminum brick that provides the highest level of sound quality possible at its price point.

We admit, the connectivity and feature set may feel slightly behind, especially when compared to iFi’s xDSD Gryphon, an equally impressive portable DAC. But sound-for-sound, the Mojo 2 takes the win and is easily one of the best portable DAC Amps on the market. It’s a must-have for those wanting the best possible sound from a device that slips into your pocket. Read the full review here.

It was worth it

I was curious if the Mojo 2 would be worth it for listening to background music on mid-tier planar headphones while I'm engaged in studying, reading or computer work. The audio was already fairly decent just plugged into the questionable-quality headphone jack of my Macbook Pro, and in these use-cases I'm not sitting there with my eyes closed listening for every detail... I'm more concerned with mobility and finding a quiet place to work. So I listened to tracks I was very familiar with while working, turned cross feed to the max, kept the EQ turned off, and the listening experience was noticeably more natural and enjoyable with the Chord Mojo 2. I A/B'd back and forth to make sure I wasn't succumbing to the placebo effect, and the quality boost and natural sound of the Mojo 2 cross feed is definitely better. I'm pairing the Mojo 2 with an AudioQuest Forest unidirectional usb-c cable, and using the Cog media player on my Mac. So in conclusion, it turned out to be worth it for my use-cases, and I'll use the Mojo 2 for more critical listening as well. This was also my first purchase from Bloom Audio, and the experience was very good. I'll be a return customer for sure.

Excellent compared to MoJo 1, I still love my Mojo 1 but MoJo 2 is way ahead of original. There’s a learning curve with version 2. But I guess once you have learned you’ll fall in love with it. Great product and sound.

Yep, It’s Good!

Not much to say that hasn’t already been said. The Mojo2 is a good as advertised.

I owned the OG Mojo for over five years and I felt like nothing could beat it in the mobile DAC/amp space (except the Hugo2). Until recently, I was still happy with OG Mojo and didn’t really feel the need to upgrade but curiosity finally got the best of me.

The Mojo2 is a clear step up and a worthy upgrade over the OG Mojo in every way. I couldn’t be happier with the performance. It gets 9.5/10 only because of the micro USB ports. As a person who will never own a Poly, I understand why they kept the the ports but I still hate them. Aside from that, the Mojo2 is perfect!

Great little dap

I have the original mojo and I like the warm sweet sound the mojo 2 isn't as warm sounding but seems to have slightly better detail, and the ability to use eq is great, I think it is worth the upgrade over the og mojo.
