An engaging, unique vacuum tube sound, delivering excellent linearity

Based on the sixth generation of Nutube vacuum tubes made by Korg and noritake, AMP13 completes voltage amplification through Nutube vacuum tubes, giving AMP13 an engaging and unique tube sound. On the buffer stage, buffers of up to a ±200mA linear current output are utilized. The AMP13 has a high current drive capability for low impedance monitors and headphones, while giving a unique quality of tubes.

Hand Matched, Every One is a Masterpiece

Each AMP9 is tested and matched with the AP audio analyzer, with 3 multi-turn potentiometers. The three potentiometers are manually calibrated and matched by engineers for the optimal performance of the Nutube.

AMP13 is Compatible with the DX300/DX320

Please update the firmware to the latest one to have an optimized support of the AMP13. And above all, please enjoy the music!

Output port: 3.5mm single ended

Outstanding sound quality, but…

Of my four AMP cards this has definitely the nicest sound overall, but there are issues, first of which is very audible and persistent static with the current firmware when Wi-Fi is on, which means using the DAP to stream music or watch movies is unpleasant at best, but basically untenable. Of much less concern is the momentary ringing you can get from the tubes with any kind of sharp movement or impact, even plugging in headphones or setting the DAP down.

Speaking of headphones I have done all my listening to date with IEMs, so the limited power output of the AMP13 has not been an issue for me at all; it’s worth keeping in mind if you prefer a set of hard to drive cans, however.

Is the wonderfully liquid, articulate, warm & luscious sound of the AMP13 worth sacrificing the streaming possibilities of the DAP? For me yes, but it is a major disappointment.
